High and dry footbridge scaffold
The consortium of Acciona Aqua, McConnell Dowell and Abigroup are developing a $1.8 billion desalination plant at Port Stanvac for SA Water. When complete it will deliver 100 gigalitres of water, or half of Adelaide’s annual water supply.
James Paitai of TLT Access Services was asked to provide this temporary footbridge for worker access while civil works disrupted the usual route. This 23m solution was designed by Norbert Weber from Layher’s Sydney office.
The assembling of the bridge was supervised by highly experienced Layher user Mat Witana. He tells us the bridge, which has a 2.2 kpa loading, was built on the ground adjacent to the site cut and lifted by crane into position.
