Marvellous mobile scaffold
Above Scaffolding developed a large area, roll-out/roll-in Catch-Deck for Lend Lease’s Barangaroo project to mitigate the risk of falling materials. The modular catch-deck cantilevers up to 5m beyond the slab edge while maintaining a very impressive 5kPa rating thanks to the structural capacity of Layher Allround and Layher 750mm Lattice Beams. Scaffolding dairy farmers
Dairy Farmers, Australia’s largest milk supplier, needed to upgrade their fire system throughout their Sydney operation. Kell and Rigby, who had the contract, called on Pipeline Rigging to come up with a way to span over the operating areas giving access to the main roof beam without slowing down production. Read more
Control tower cantilever
CGE have completed this impressive airfield control tower scaffold, taking cantilevers to a new level! The project involved attaching Layher ALLROUND to a concrete wall, then creating 5 lifts of cantilevered working platforms to allow for the construction of the control tower. Read more

The STS Leeuwin II is a Western Australian tall ship that provides young people the challenge to develop the skills required to sail these vessels from yesteryear. Key Scaffolding had the challenge of scaffolding this intricate building for a local painting contractor. Using Layher scaffolding with its components such as spigots with half-coupler, and rigid, swivel and twin wedge couplers proved very handy for such a brain teasing job! Read more
Cantilevered facade
On a Bovis Lend Lease site in Sydney’s busy George Street, Above Scaffolding have built a façade scaffold with a difference. The façade scaffold is 14m wide x 18m high and is supported on twin 750 lattice girders cantilevered off a birdcage scaffold in the atrium and extending out over the construction zone in the heart of the CBD. Suspended facade access
A high rise building on the North Coast of NSW required a working platform to perform some remedial work on the façade. Ballina Scaffolding Services designed a Layher ALLROUND suspended and cantilevered scaffold that was able to be craned from the ground in 6 modules. Read more
Hotel gantry scaffolding
This gantry adorns the Novotel in downtown Perth. It is for both pedestrian protection and a landing platform for swinging stages. Designed to the client’s requirements, it is 2.57m wide and built to meet a 5 kPa rating. Read more
Scaffolding 24 tonne footbridge
Alphasafe were asked to supply a temporary support for this footbridge as the retaining wall on the abutment had started bellowing out due to water content behind it. Read more
Pre-cast panels cantilever scaffold
Scaffolding was required around the stairwell of Adelaide Hospital, South Australia to complete external finishes.
