Hanging scaffold
These pylons support a conveyor belt going over a kilometre out to sea to deliver salt to waiting ships. This hanging scaffold is suspended off doubled up aluminium beams and cantilevered out around the base. Read more
Protect paint project
A facility for carrying out the blasting and painting of ship modules was required for a major project being undertaken by ASC in Adelaide. Layher’s Steel Cassette Roof, Protect panels and ALLROUND were combined to create a large encapsulated work area in the fraction of the time required for a permanent structure. Read more
Cantilevered scaffold
Linkforce recently supplied this access for remedial works to ROM beam dampers. Traditionally scaffold was stick built in these situations, exposing workers to heights issues, meaning intricate fall prevention systems needed to be set up. Read more
Coal services terminal scaffolding
A coal loader at the Port Waratah Coal Services Terminal recently underwent an outage for painting and repairs. Layher Allround scaffolding was used for the top boom cantilever, underside catch platform as well as this independently hung scaffold which allowed the chute for the loader to be removed and lowered to a barge below. Port Bonython Jetty
Port Bonython Jetty, which is owned by the state government, is a 2.4km long jetty making it the largest in South Australia. The loading facilities at the jetty are operated by Santos. Read more
Alumina refinery training
Cape scaffolders at an alumina refinery recently received training in Layher Allround scaffolding, and were pleased with Allround’s capabilities and the reduction in labour time. Read more
Eggcellent access
Celtic Scaffolding’s eggonaut scaffolders provided this eggcellent stair access to this sludge digester at Woodman’s Point, WA, for Thiess Black & Veatch, who needed access to post tensioning works. Layher Allround enabled the stairs to fit snugly around the curve of the sludge digester. Well done to Scaffold Supervisor Dave Adams and his crew for their works on the project. Read more
Scaffolding with flare
A Mammoet crane lifts the final section of the 121m high flare stack into place at the Pluto LNG Project in Western Australia. Cape erected Layher Allround scaffolds on each joining level of the stack to allow the riggers to torque up the joint bolts. Read more
