To allow for blasting and painting operations on this rail bridge near Coffs Harbour NSW, the requirement was for an 8m wide access deck below the bridge for a total length of 150m. Read more
As part of Melbourne’s level crossing removal programme, Stilcon Scaffolding successfully secured the Glenroy Railway Station contract to provide public access stairways, and a 2.57m wide overpass spanning 16.5m between the platforms. Read more
To construct a railway underpass required the redirection of a Principal Shared Pathway (PSP) and a bridge to support signalling and communications cables whilst excavations were underway. Caledonia (WA) secured the contract and, using their Layher Allround Scaffolding system, a DDA-compliant cycling/pedestrian ramp was constructed. Read more
Australian Scaffolds and Access regularly build scaffolds to support high loads. However, this project presented some unique challenges: designing 3m cantilevered scaffolds over water to take 2.5 tonne loads to enable extensive bridge modification work to be undertaken. Read more
