Curved and craneable working platform
Benchmark Scaffolding recently completed this project using Layher ALLROUND on a sugar mill stack in Queensland. To improve productivity and to avoid the usual risks associated with working at heights, eight modules, each 7m in height, were pre-built on the ground, then fitted with bolt-in crane eyelets before being lifted into position by crane.
The individual towers were then joined by ledgers and a plywood lapping deck to create a curved working platform. This access solution permitted structural repairs to be carried out on the stack. The entire operation was completed in one shift.
