Scaffolding 24 tonne footbridge
Alphasafe were asked to supply a temporary support for this footbridge as the retaining wall on the abutment had started bellowing out due to water content behind it.
The Heavy Duty Allround props were used to take the load of the 24 tonne bridge off the abutment while the retaining wall was being rebuilt. The bridge needed to remain in use for foot traffic so the lateral propping was used to stop any side to side movement.
The Heavy Duty Propping is remaining in place for up to 5 months as they repair the existing abutment and approach.
