The problem was how to safely and efficiently achieve a cantilevered, cliff-edge access solution to enable remedial work to be carried out under a pedestrian walkway.
Central Scaffolding and Rigging secured the contract with an in-house design using their Layher Allround scaffolding system, in combination with Layher FlexBeams and Protect panels.
Overlooking Brisbane’s Story Bridge, and perched high above the Howard Smith Wharves, Central’s skilled team of scaffolders carried out the assembly in quick time. The pedestrian walkway remained open whilst remedial work was underway, and the Protect panel cladding achieved a clean and visually attractive finish.
Central Scaffolding’s Client Relations Manager, Tyson Maher, said “Our installation went smoothly and safely and was a credit to our team of scaffolders. Most importantly, our client was delighted with the outcome.”
